Description

This building is a stable or barn located approximately 35 meters west of Stones Farm, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a stone slate roof on the front pitch and concrete tiles at the rear. The barn has a long rectangular plan and features a projecting porch on the west side, along with a lean-to on the north gable end on the east side.

On the west elevation, there are two plank doors with compass-drawn rosettes set in dressed stone surrounds. Stone steps lead up to a plank door for the loft to the right, with an unglazed single light featuring a chamfered stone surround to the left of the steps. To the right, there is a blocked door and two ventilation slits, as well as double doors. Steps at right angles to the south gable end provide access to another plank door for the loft. The gabled projecting porch on the west has flat coping at the gable ends. The barn was likely reroofed in the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
