Description

SHERBORNE SHERBORNE VILLAGE SP 1714 9/219 Boundary wall and gateway running from the War Memorial to No 51 on south side GV II

Boundary wall. Probably early C19. Thin-bedded coursed limestone with rounded capping in cement. Entrance to School, and field gate, interrupt continuous run. Wall generally about 1.75m high from road level. Wall forms important street element as continuous boundary on south side of street, opposite most of the cottages, and linking the War Memorial at the west end, with the outbuildings adjacent to No 51.
