Description
This building is a stable and barn located south of Ludwell Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone-flagged roof. The structure has two storeys and two wide bays. On the left side, there is an open elliptical arch with voussoirs, while the right side has a plain stone surround where a door is now empty. There are side stone steps at the right end leading to a first-floor loft door, which has a flat stone lintel and irregular-block jambs. The loft is also equipped with five narrow vent slits. The roof is low-pitched. There is a 20th-century barn behind this building, which is not of interest.
