Description

BARRINGTON GREAT BARRINGTON VILLAGE SP 2013-2113 (north side) 10/51 No 17 and No 18 (now incorporates house 23.1.52 formerly listed as No 19) GV II Two cottages (formerly 3 cottages) in row. No 17 forms end cottage in the row. Early-mid C19 (one build). Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. Long rectangular plan. C20 flat-roofed extension at rear of both cottages, not of special interest. Six-windowed facade lit by 2- light wooden casements with leaded panes with flat-chamfered surrounds with stopped hoods. C20 two-panel doors within flat- chamfered surrounds to each cottage. Flat canopies with moulded margins supported on moulded brackets over each door. Two axial stacks with cappings and skirtings. Interiors not inspected. (Barrington Park Estate).
