Description
No. 10 and No. 11 are two cottages located in Lydbury North, dating from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The right cottage features a rendered timber frame, while the left is constructed from limewashed limestone rubble, both topped with a graded slate roof. These 1½ storey cottages each consist of one room and have an outhouse on the left side.
The front has two gabled eaves dormers, which contain one and two-light metal casements. There are two limewashed rubble chimneys: one is located off-centre on the ridge to the right, and the other is integral at the gable end to the right. The front displays irregular 20th-century fenestration with three windows, all featuring two-light metal casements. There are boarded doors located to the left and between the first and second windows from the right, along with a boarded door for the outhouse on the left. To the right, there is a lean-to with a boarded door and window, and a timber-framed lean-to on the left. An original two-light casement window can be found at the rear. Inside, the cottages have timber-framed partition walls with square panels.
