Description
This is a service wing, later converted into a house, dating from the 18th century and the early to mid-19th century. The north side is timber-framed with rendered panels, while the south side is red brick. The roofs are slate, with a half-hipped roof on the north wing and a hipped roof on the east block. It is two storeys high.
The south front features a large stack projecting from the ridge of the rear wing and an end stack to the west. The right-hand block has a stone eaves band and two bays with glazing bar sashes, the windows having cambered heads. The central part of the south front is lower, with a parapet that slopes downwards to the left. This parapet contains a 20th-century three-light casement window on the first floor and a half-glazed door with a lancet window panel on the ground floor. A conservatory, designed in a Victorian style, projects forward. The left-hand range has a 20th-century dormer on the left and a first-floor casement window to the right. On the ground floor, there are French casements to the left and a 20th-century casement window in a former door opening to the right. A Ha-Ha runs along the south side of the property. The building is included on the list for group value.
