Description
No. 5 and No. 7 Rack End, also known as Jasmine Cottage, are two cottages dating from the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, with the left side colorwashed. The cottages feature a gabled thatch roof and brick end stacks. The layout consists of four units across two storeys, with a four-window range. Each cottage has a central 20th-century door with a gabled hood, flanked by timber lintels over the windows. To the left are 20th-century windows, while the mid and right sections have mid to late 18th-century two-light casements, with an early 19th-century two-light casement on the right. The interior is noted for having chamfered beams. These cottages are included for their group value.
