Description
No. 1 (Messuage) is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with brick end stacks, one of which was rebuilt in the 20th century. The house has a three-unit plan and is one storey with an attic, presenting a three-window range. It has stop-chamfered timber lintels over a 20th-century door and casements, with an additional timber lintel over a 20th-century door to the right. Eyebrow dormers are fitted with 20th-century casements. Inside, there is a remodelled open fireplace to the left, chamfered beams, and a central timber-framed partition that rises to the truss of the collar-truss roof.
