Description
No. 37 and No. 39 East Street are a pair of cottages built around 1800. They are constructed from ham stone coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and have two bays. Each cottage has plain mullioned three-light windows with plain inserts and cast-iron framed central opening lights, but no labels. Between the bays, there are a pair of plain doorways that are covered by a shared moulded flat stone hood supported by shaped stone brackets; both doors have been renewed. There is a lean-to garage against the east gable. The interiors have not been seen.
