Description
No. 20 in Great Barrington Village is a cottage that dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century and is currently used as a store. It is constructed of coursed, roughly squared, and dressed limestone, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and stands one and a half storeys tall.
On the front, there is a single two-light casement window with leaded panes located near the eaves. To the right on the ground floor, there is a 19th-century plank door, with a two-light wooden casement window with leaded panes to the left of the door. There is also another opening to the left, which has a wooden lintel but is largely obscured by ivy. The interior has not been inspected. This property is part of the Barrington Park Estate.
