Description
33 Great Barrington Village is a detached house that was originally two houses, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is built of coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. The building has a long rectangular plan, with a late extension at the left gable end and a lean-to at the right gable end. The main part of the house is two storeys high, while the extension is single storey.
The front of the main body faces the road and is illuminated by two and three-light wooden casements with leaded panes and 20th-century wooden lintels. At the rear, there are two-light wooden casements with leaded panes set within segmental-headed surrounds. A 20th-century plank door leads into the single-storey extension on the left, which also has a two-light casement to the left of the door. The gable ends feature stacks with cappings and skirtings. This property is part of the Barrington Park Estate.
