Description

BARRINGTON GREAT BARRINGTON VILLAGE SP 2013-2113 (north side) 10/56 Barrington Farmhouse 23.1.52 GV II Detached house. Mid-late C18. Ashlar facade, otherwise coursed squared and dressed limestone. 'T'-shaped plan. C20, flat-roofed extension rear left not of special interest. Symmetrical, 2-storey and part basement, 5-windowed facade, lit by C19 double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods and horizontal glazing bars. Central C20 six-panel door within a flat-chamfered surround. Flat canopy supported on moulded stone brackets above the door. Blocked 2-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement in the left gable end. Two-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned casement to extension at rear. Steps down to cellar at gable end of extension at rear. Two-light stone-mullioned casement to right of the door to the cellar. Flat coping at gable ends of main body. Gable-end stacks to main body. Lateral stack to the extension. All stacks with moulded cappings and skirtings. Interior not inspected. (Barrington Park Estate).
