Description
Nos 11 and 12 are a pair of semi-detached cottages built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a slate roof. The cottages feature an ashlar stack, while the other stacks have been restored in rendered brick. The main body of the cottages is rectangular and consists of two storeys. Each cottage has a symmetrical facade, with two-light stone-mullioned casements on the first floor. The ground floor has three-light casements with stopped hoods. The windows of No 11 have leaded panes, while those of No 12 have horizontal glazing bars. No 12 has a central 19th-century plank door with a flat stone canopy supported by moulded stone brackets above. No 11 has a central 20th-century six-panel door with a similar flat stone canopy. There is a lean-to garage at the right gable end, but it is not of special interest.
