Description

This is a villa dating from approximately 1834 to 1840. It is constructed of stucco over brickwork, with a concealed roof and brick stacks at each end. The house follows a double-depth plan with a central hallway.

The exterior is two storeys high, with three windows on the first floor. The stucco detailing includes full-height pilasters at the ends of the villa, a central architrave featuring two pairs of Doric pilasters, an entablature, and a blocking course. Further Doric pilasters sit atop the central window, which is surmounted by a dentil entablature and blocking course. The ground-floor windows have tooled architraves and cornices resting on console brackets. All windows are sash type. The first floor has 1/1 sashes, while the ground floor has tripartite windows with 1/1 sashes. These sashes are horned and set in plain reveals, with sills.

The interior has not been inspected. Houses on Tivoli Road, originally named Tivoli, were shown laid out on Merrett’s Map of 1834, indicating the villa's early construction date within the development.
