Description
Keynsham Lodge is a villa dating from approximately 1820 to 1850. It is constructed of stucco over brick, with a hipped slate roof and stucco end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan with a full-height service range to the rear.
The exterior has two storeys and a basement, featuring three first-floor windows. Stucco details include horizontal rustication to the ground floor, voussoirs over the windows, and a first-floor band. The first-floor windows have tooled architraves. The windows are primarily 6/6 sash windows throughout, with 8/8 sashes in the basement. A flight of roll-edged steps with a balustrade lead to a central entrance, which features a four-panel, part-glazed door with an overlight containing margin-lights, set within a distyle porch with Doric pillars, an architrave, frieze, and cornice finishing with a blocking course. Wide eaves are supported by brackets. There are end and lateral stacks. The interior was not inspected.
