Description
Number 3 is a villa dating from around 1820 to 1850, with attached forecourt railings. It is constructed of stucco over brick and features a concealed roof, tall brick stacks with cornices at the right end and ridge. The iron railings are notable as well. The stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication on the ground floor with voussoirs above the windows, a band on the first floor, and a crowning frieze and architrave with a cornice on the left, topped with a low parapet and copings.
The building has two storeys and seven first-floor windows arranged in a pattern of 1:3:3, with the left angle being splayed and a canted full-height bay. The right side of the building breaks forward. It features 2/2 sash windows throughout, all with sills and reveals. There are two entrances on the left return: one with a 20th-century glazed door and another with glazed doors and an overlight. The left return has four first-floor windows on one side and three on the other. The ground floor has horizontal rustication and incised voussoirs above the windows, along with a first-floor band and 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes, including one at the angle and three in the canted bay.
The interior has not been inspected. The property also features arrowhead forecourt railings on the right, although these have been mostly renewed. Number 3 forms a good group with Number 1 and Numbers 5 and 7, which are of group value.
