Farmhouse. Early C19 with a possibly earlier wing at the left end. Colourwashed and rendered ; slate roof, gabled at ends of main block ; end stacks with rendered shafts to main block, end stack and axial stack to wing. Plan: Main block double depth, 2 rooms wide, with a central entrance. A narrower wing, adjoining at the left end with a lower roofline may be earlier. Exterior: 2 storeys. 3:3 window front, the main block symmetrical with a half-glazed porch in the centre with a hipped roof and 2-light C20 timber casements with glazing bars. The wing has a scantle slate roof, 2 ground floor 6-pane sashes to the right and 3 first floor 2-light casements with glazing bars. Interior: Not inspected. On a prominent roadside site at the entrance to the village ; group value with the courtyard of farm buildings to the east.
