Description
Ivy Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on Coronation Street in Shaldon. The building is constructed of cob and topped with a corrugated iron roof, featuring a two-unit plan. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range. The windows are 6/6-pane sash windows positioned at eaves level. The central entrance consists of a set-back door made of uneven planks, flanked by small-paned fixed windows. On the left side, there is a flight of steps leading to a first-floor lobby, which has a 6-panel door facing the road. The right side includes a 20th-century garage at ground level and a shallow segmental-curved frame above, which supports an 8/8-pane sash window that forms a bow window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
