Description

This is an early 19th-century house with a shop. It is located on Teign Street, Teignmouth. The building is constructed of painted roughcast with a painted stone eaves cornice and a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan. The exterior has three storeys and a two-window front. The upper floors have 6/6-pane sash windows. A full-height curved bay to the left contains a curved shop window with small panes, a moulded lintel, and sill. To the right is a large stone doorcase, possibly added later, supporting an entablature with a deep cornice above a six-panel door and a semicircular fanlight. The interior was not inspected, but the ground floor is known to have been altered.
