Description

This is a two-and-a-half-storey shop and house, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is built of scribed roughcast, painted cream, with a slate roof and rendered stacks at the centre and ends. The left-hand side contains a house with a recessed panel door and overlight to the right of the entrance. A centrally placed canted bay window has four-pane horned sashes. The projecting shop front on the right incorporates cast iron posts supporting two-light shop windows with thin glazing bars. The shop front has central recessed, half-glazed fielded-panel doors and overlight, a repainted fascia, and a dentil cornice. The upper storey contains two pairs of four-pane hornless sash windows, each with a hood mould supported on moulded consoles. Four gabled roof dormers feature round-headed four-pane horned sash windows and fish-scale slate cladding to the sides. The building has not been inspected internally.
