Description
The Lomas Mooring is a farmhouse, now a house, with origins likely dating back to the 17th century, though it has undergone alterations in the 20th century. The building features whitewashed roughcast rendered rubble and has two large exposed front lateral rubble stacks with offsets, topped with slated weatherings heightened in brick. The roof is slate with gable ends. It has a 3-cell cross-passage plan and stands at one and a half storeys tall. The front has a two-window range of half dormers fitted with 20th-century casements. There are three-light and two-light windows above a slated canopy that leads to a porch situated between the stacks at the lower end, which has a 20th-century door. To the right on the ground floor are two three-light casements. At the rear lower end, there is a slated outshut, and buttresses are present at the rear upper end. The interior has not been inspected.
