Nethercott Farmhouse And Attached Outbuildings

Nethercott Farmhouse and its attached outbuildings date from the early 19th century. The farmhouse and the converted barn are built from stone rubble and are whitewashed, featuring slate roofs with gabled ends, which are lower over the outbuildings. The structure has a long single-depth plan that includes the house and an attached barn on the right, which is now part of the dwelling. Further to the right, there is a range of outbuildings that includes a cider house, stables with a loft, and a granary at the right-hand end.

The farmhouse is two storeys tall and has a four-window range of timber sash windows, with 8 panes over 8 panes, and three similar sashes below. To the right of the central panelled door, there is a 20th-century four-light window. The former barn to the right features three irregularly spaced 20th-century casements above two-light casements, with one to the left and two to the right of a panelled door. The lower outbuilding to the right has two square openings above a pair of doors, each with a square opening to their right. The openings on the left have timber lintels, while those on the right have brick arches. There is also a two-storey extension with a lean-to roof on the right gable end, with the upper parts partially made of cob.
