Description

The Manor House and Woodlands is a former manor house that has been converted into two dwellings. It likely dates from the 16th century but was refronted in the late 18th century. The building is roughcast rendered, with the left side whitewashed and the right side colourwashed. It features slate roofs at the front and partly pantiled roofs at the rear. The structure has two storeys and an L-shaped plan, with a tall lateral rubble stack at the rear of the Manor House and another stack at the rear of Woodlands, the latter partially rebuilt in brick. There is also a tall lateral stack on the right-angled rear extension of the Manor House, which has a gable-ended pantiled roof.

Woodlands includes an outshut with a slated lean-to roof in the angle of the L-shape. There is a recessed two-storey extension at the left gable end of Woodlands, which has a slated roof and features two wooden sash windows with three over three panes on the left and a sash window with eight panes over eight panes on the right. To the right of the doorway in a deep reveal, Woodlands has a large tripartite sash window with three over three panes and sidelights, along with a panelled door and a four-paned overlight. The Manor House has a timber sash window with eight panes over eight panes to the right of a half-glazed door, which is topped by a two-paned overlight and features a projecting porch supported on iron fluted colonettes. Inside Woodlands, there are three stop-chamfered beams in the hall.
