Description
No. 6 Silver Street is a cottage, probably from the 18th century. It is constructed of colourwashed rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof featuring a brick stack at the left gable end. The building has two storeys and consists of single cells of unequal size on either side of a small entrance hall. The windows include horizontal sliding sash windows with 12 panes each and a small 2-light casement window (with 2 panes per light) above two light casements, which have two panes on the left and six panes on the right, flanking a four-panelled door. Inside, the cottage features roughly chamfered beams with scroll stops, and the fireplace has been blocked off.
