Description
Pikkeston Court is a large house that was formerly a vicarage, built in 1826. It features whitewashed stucco and a hipped slate roof with projecting eaves supported by shaped brackets. The building has a square plan with a gable-ended right-angled projection to the east, and it stands two storeys tall. Plain quoin pilasters enhance its appearance. The front has three bays of wood sash windows, with six panes per sash above two tall wood sashes that have six panes above nine panes, flanking a round-arched doorway with a rusticated surround. The entrance includes a panelled door and a fanlight adorned with decorative wrought iron bars. The west face of the house has quoin and centre pilasters, with four wood sashes on each floor, maintaining the same glazing pattern. All sashes retain their original glass. Inside, the principal rooms feature foliated plaster centrepieces and plain moulded cornices, with embellishments in the corners.
