Description

No. 47 High Path is a cottage, probably dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of whitewash rendered cob and rubble, topped with a thatch roof featuring a rubble stack that has been extended in brick at the right gable end. There is an outshut with a lean-to pantiled roof at the right gable end, which includes a 2-light casement window. The cottage has a symmetrical facade with two storeys and a layout consisting of single cells on each side of a central staircase. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension. The front elevation features two timber sash windows on each floor, all with a 2/2 configuration, and there is a centrally located half-glazed 20th-century door with projecting stone sills.
