Description

No. 49 is a cottage located on Heanton Hill, likely built in the late 18th century. The exterior features whitewashed, heavily rendered rubble and cob, topped with a thatched roof that has gable ends. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a right-angled 19th-century extension at the rear left. It stands two storeys tall and has two-light casement windows, each with four panes per light, situated above similar casements to the right and left that have two panes in the upper part of each light. There is a slated gabled porch that contains a 20th-century door. The interior of the cottage has been significantly altered.
