Description
No. 5 High Street is a cottage that dates from the early 19th century, with an extension added around the mid 19th century. It is built from coursed stone rubble and features a pantile roof with gabled ends. The cottage has brick stacks at the gable end and along the ridge. The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance and a one-bay extension on the right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a three-to-one window arrangement. The windows are two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have flat and cambered arches. The doorway is located to the left of the centre, featuring a panelled door and a simple wooden canopy. The interior has not been inspected.
