Description

Dower Cottage, along with Dower House and Dower House Cottage, forms part of the estate of Ston Easton Park. Built in the late 18th century, it was originally a dower house, now divided into three separate dwellings. Constructed from rubble with ashlar detailing, the main front of the building is two storeys and an attic, with a 2:1:2 bay arrangement. It features a dentil cornice, a parapet with coping, coped verges, and hipped-roofed dormers. The sash windows have had their glazing bars removed. A full-height canted bay with an ashlar facade and balustraded parapet is centrally located. The main entrance is a semi-circular opening with paired three-quarter glazed doors. Lower service wings extend to the rear. The interior retains features dating to the time of construction.
