Description
Boode House is a house that was mainly built in the early 19th century, but it likely has a 17th-century wing at the rear, creating a T-shaped layout. The exterior is made of colourwashed rendered rubble with slate roofs and brick chimneys on either side of the two-storey main section.
On the front, there are two tripartite sash windows on each side of a plain sash window, and three similar tripartite sash windows on the ground floor. The east facade of the earlier rear wing features a panelled door at the corner, accompanied by a four-paned sidelight and a projecting porch supported by Tuscan columns. There is a wrought-iron balustrade around the balcony, which has a window with three large panes and marginal glazing bars. To the right, two 2-light casements are positioned beside two 3-light casements, all with three panes in each light above French windows at the upper end.
