Description
Fosse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has tall stone end stacks with offset and moulded cornices. It consists of a main single range that is two storeys high with an attic, along with a rear cross wing that has a 20th-century addition on the left side and a small lower additional wing on the right.
The façade has three windows, which include 3-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds flanking a single stone framed light, also with a square hoodmould. On the ground floor, there are two 4-light windows, all fitted with iron casements. The roof features two hipped dormers, each with twin wooden casements. There is a door with a porch located on the left-hand return, which has three long 12-pane sash windows in flush quoin surrounds on the first floor and two shorter 12-pane sash windows below. The right-hand wing has a blind south-west wall and features a 3-light wooden casement in the gable end, along with a 3-light metal casement below, both supported by timber lintels.
