Description

Burver Cottage is an 18th-century cottage with 20th-century extensions, situated on Crowborough Road in Georgeham. The cottage is built of whitewashed rendered rubble, and has a thatched roof with gable ends. A gable stack is located on the left gable end. The original plan was a single cell, with an L-shaped extension added to the left end in the 20th century. The cottage has two storeys, with a two-window range of two-light casements, each light containing two panes, on both floors. A pantiled lean-to roof covers a projecting porch with a plank door on the right side. A shallow gabled 20th-century projection is on the right gable end, also with a pantiled roof. A single-storey 20th-century extension is located at the left end, also with a pantiled roof.
