Description
Pound Cottage is a cottage dating from around the 18th century, built of rendered stone rubble with a thatched roof. The roof is hipped at the right end and gabled at the left end, featuring a projecting rendered stack with a short tapered shaft and slate weathering. The cottage has a small two-room layout with a central entrance; the left room is heated by a gable end stack, while the smaller right room is unheated. In the 20th century, a small single-storey extension was added to the back, along with a porch at the front. The cottage is two storeys high and has one window range. On the left side, there is a 19th-century two-light casement window with glazing bars and slate sills on both the ground and first floors. The doorway, located to the right of centre, features a 20th-century glazed door and a large 20th-century glazed porch. The right end has a small 20th-century ground floor window, and the left end has the projecting stack. The small single-storey extension at the rear is also from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
