Description
Pennybrook Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has been extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast rendering over tarred weatherboarding and is roofed with handmade red clay pantiles. The cottage has two bays facing north and includes an internal stack at the left end. At the rear of the right bay, there is a single-storey brick extension with a flat roof added in the 20th century. The building is one storey with attics, featuring two 19th-century casement windows on the ground floor, with the attics lit from the gables. There is also a 19th-century half-glazed door located in a gabled porch. This cottage is an exceptionally unaltered example of its type, remaining largely unaffected by the rear extension.
