Description
The Swan is a public house that dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, with 19th-century additions at the rear. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, with a red brick rear wing. The building has a red plain tiled gambrel roof, which includes two grey slate catslide dormers. There are external red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides, as well as two additional red brick stacks on the rear range. The building is one storey high with attics and has a two-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes. The central entrance consists of a panelled door with two lights, and there is a 20th-century pantiled entrance porch to the right, which is plastered and has a recessed entrance. Inside, there are stop-chamfered bridging joists and through bracing to the walls.
