Description
The Green Cottage is a cottage from the 18th century that has been altered in the 20th century. It is timber framed, roughcast rendered, and has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The cottage has three bays facing southwest, with an original stack located at the rear of the right bay and an original service wing extending beyond. There is a 20th-century extension in the left rear corner. The building has one storey with attics, featuring two 20th-century casement windows and two additional casements in lean-to dormers. At the front, there is a 20th-century glazed door leading into a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch. The roof is gambrel with half-hipped ends. Inside, there is a chamfered transverse beam with lamb's tongue stops and plain joists of vertical section in the right bay, along with a chamfered axial beam in the left bay. A central staircase rises from a quarter-turn in the right bay.
