Description
Oxley House Cottage is a pair of attached cottages that have been combined, dating from the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. It has one storey with attics and features four bays facing southwest, with an external stack at each end and a 20th-century crosswing to the right. There are two 18th-century sash windows with 16 lights, two with 8 lights, and one 20th-century casement window. Additionally, there are four 20th-century sashes in slated lean-to dormers. The cottage has one plain boarded door and another with a single light. It is topped with a gambrel roof. The two left bays are open from ground to roof, supported by one transverse beam.
