Description

Pond Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that has been altered in the 20th century. It is timber framed, weatherboarded, and plastered, with a thatched roof. The cottage has two bays facing south, featuring a stack in each gable end. There is a single-storey extension to the northwest, which is roofed with red clay corrugated tiles. The building is one storey with attics and has five 20th-century casement windows and a 20th-century glazed door. Inside, there are exposed axial beams that are chamfered, along with plain joists that show good craftsmanship. The left hearth has been repaired above the mantel beam, while the right hearth has been blocked.
