Description

Old Forge Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, painted, with a thatched roof and a brick end stack. The cottage is a single storey and attic, with a two-window front. It has a two-unit plan. A 20th-century door is set within a lean-to porch on the left side of the centre, and a three-light leaded casement window is on the right side of the centre, with a timber lintel. Similar leaded casement windows are found in eyebrow dormers to the first floor. A 20th-century single-storey extension has been added to the right end.
