Description

Russell Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a thatched roof, and has brick end stacks to the right. The original building has a one-unit plan and two storeys, with a single window range. A four-panel door is located to the left of centre, topped by a stop-chamfered wood lintel and a gabled hood on brackets. There are six-pane sash windows to both the ground and first floors, each with a wood lintel. Quoins are visible, and a single-storey, one-window extension with a pantile roof extends from the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
