No. 43 is a cottage located on Main Road, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. The ground and first floors have two-light casement windows with wooden lintels, while the first-floor windows are set in eyebrow dormers. There is a small fire window on the ground floor to the far right, also with a wooden lintel. The gables are made of ironstone and have coping with kneelers. There are single-storey extensions on both the left and right sides, and the entrance is located at the rear. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a cambered chamfered bressumer.
