Description
No. 5 Drayson Lane is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It features a coursed limestone rubble plinth, pebbledash walls, and a thatched roof with brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. In the left bay, there is a two-light stone-mullioned window that serves the cellar. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with wooden lintels and old iron casements, while the first floor has six-pane hinged sash windows. The gable ends are finished with brick coping, and there are stacks located to the right of centre and on the left gable. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted that the entrance was originally in the centre of the street front but has been moved to the rear due to a 19th or 20th-century extension.
