Description

No. 102 is a cottage located on High Street in Potterspury, dated 1674 with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a reed thatch roof with brick stacks at either end. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-window range with a two-unit plan. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a flat-arched head and is sheltered by a rustic porch; above the door is a datestone inscribed with "IC/1674." On the ground floor, there are three-light casement windows on the left and right, both with flat-arched heads, while the first floor has three-light leaded casements with wooden lintels. To the far right, there is a single-storey brick extension, and at the rear, there is another single-storey extension with a lean-to roof. Inside, the cottage features ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and a blocked inglenook.
