Description

The Old Social is a house dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a plain-tile roof with a large ridge stack that has three brick flues at its stone base. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-window range with a three-unit lobby-entry plan. A 20th-century door is located to the left of the centre, framed by a moulded wood surround, a straight hood, and a wood lintel. The house has 16-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors, each with wood lintels. The gables are stone-coped and include kneelers. Inside, the property features ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams.
