Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and features a thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range and a two-unit plan.

The central entrance consists of a panelled, part-glazed door that is framed by a moulded wood surround and topped with a straight hood supported by brackets. To the right of the door, there is a three-light casement window, while to the left is a two-light casement window, both featuring segmental-arched heads and keyblocks. The first floor has two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. There is a single-storey lean-to extension on the left side and a two-storey wing at the rear right.

Inside, the cottage includes stop-chamfered spine beams.
