Description

Wendy's Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, with a two-window range. It has 2-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, which have wooden lintels. The windows on the first floor are set in eyebrow dormers. There is a blocked door with a wooden lintel on the right gable end facing High Street, and a 20th-century door at the rear. Inside, the cottage includes a stop-chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a stop-chamfered bressumer.
