Description
Orchard Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with a brick ridge stack. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range. On the ground floor, there is a two-light casement window on the left and a three-light casement window on the right, while the first floor has two-light casements, all of which have wooden lintels. Some courses of red brick are present at the eaves, and the roof has a hip on the left side. To the right, there is a single-storey extension that includes a 20th-century door and casement, both with wooden lintels. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams and an inglenook with a chamfered bressumer.
