Description

The Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, along with brick stacks at the ends and on the ridge. The building has one storey and an attic, with a two-window range and a two-unit plan. The ground floor has three-light casement windows with wooden lintels, and the entrance is located at the rear. To the left of The Cottage, there is an older cottage that has a 20th-century roof and has been significantly altered in the 20th century. Inside, The Cottage includes a chamfered spine beam, an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer, and a collar truss roof.
