Description

SP 7550 ROADE HARTWELL ROAD (East side) 11/128 No.1 03/05/68 II

House. Mid C18, altered C19 and C20. Coursed squared limestone, with ironstone dressings, C20 plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. Central-staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Part-glazed door just left of centre with straight hood, flanked by 12-pane sash windows. 16-pane sash windows. 16-pane sashes to 1st floor. All windows and door have stone lintels and keyblocks. Chamfered plinth, ironstone quoins, storey band and stone-coped gables with kneelers. gabled roof dormers. Single-storey extensions to left and right, mostly C20. Interior not inspected.
