Description
This is a cottage located at 14 Memorial Green, dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a thatched roof, with brick ridges and end stacks. The house has a two-unit lobby-entry plan with an additional one-unit section. The central door, which is from the 20th century, has a wooden lintel above it. The cottage has three-light casement windows on both the ground and first floors, also with wooden lintels. To the far left, there is a two-storey, one-window addition that includes a three-light casement window on the ground floor and a two-light casement window on the first floor, both featuring wooden lintels. Inside, the cottage has an ogee-stop-chamfered spine beam, a chamfered spine beam, some ogee-stop-chamfered joists, and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
